The Tennis Design Studio specializes in tennis facility planning, design, and construction guidance for communities and facility owners. Founded and led by David W. LaSota II, who also serves as president of D W LaSota Engineering, Inc., the firm has provided expertise to over 6,000 clients nationwide.
With more than 30 years of tennis-specific experience, the studio offers services for both new construction projects and court rehabilitation. The firm works with diverse facility types including public, private, collegiate, training, and tournament tennis facilities, as well as large regional complexes. David W. LaSota II is a licensed professional engineer in several U.S. states.
The Tennis Design Studio has been involved in major industry projects, including design assistance for the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida, and competition courts at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, home of the US Open in New York City. Additional project experience includes the Miami Open and numerous other major tournament venues.
The firm's principal served for over fifteen years as the National Technical Consultant to the United States Tennis Association, where he contributed to the development of standards for 36-foot and 60-foot tennis courts. He has also served on the International Tennis Federation's Technical Commission and as chairman of the Joint Editorial Board for Tennis Courts: Construction and Maintenance Manual.
