The challenge

As The Picklr grew into one of the largest indoor pickleball franchises in the country, it needed more than a vendor at each new site. It needed one partner who could deliver consistent, high-quality lighting plans at scale. Sports lighting adds complexity: fixtures must be impact-rated for stray balls, light has to stay uniform across the court to avoid shadows, and glare has to be controlled so players can see. The franchise wanted products without long lead times, sport-specific expertise and layouts tailored to each facility.

The solution

LED Lighting Supply was built into The Picklr's rollout plan as its preferred partner. Standard indoor pickleball courts call for 40 to 60 foot-candles, but The Picklr aimed higher for a more professional playing environment. Instead of one uniform package, LED Lighting Supply engineered a custom plan for each site, accounting for ceiling height, court layout and building design, using adjustable UFO high bay lights across locations.

The outcome

The partnership gave The Picklr a single, repeatable lighting specification across its network, removing inconsistent light levels and the need to vet a new supplier for every opening. A standard approach simplifies expansion, limits redesign costs and delivers predictable performance and a consistent player experience. The Picklr has said it values the consultative approach, especially in solving glare across the franchise.
