Marietta Country Club swapped worn metal-halide court lights for ProCourt LEDs on its original poles, with no civil work or new permit, Duvon says.
Results
The challenge
Marietta's 1500 W metal-halide system had faded: light levels were about 35 percent below the original commissioning figure, and members complained of shadowing along the deuce-court baseline. The club wanted a fix without the cost of replacing poles.
The solution
Duvon replaced each head one-for-one with a 400 W ProCourt asymmetric LED on the original pole grid. It rebuilt the pole-mount yokes in stainless steel for the lighter but deeper housings, and added surge protection at every pole to extend driver life.
The outcome
Duvon reports 49 fc maintained on average, uniformity of 1.25:1 and a 64 percent lower system load. The courts reopened the following Saturday, and members noticed only brighter, cleaner light.
About the ProCourt fixture
ProCourt is Duvon's 300 and 400 watt court lighting family for tennis, pickleball and multi-court projects. It is made to replace 1000 to 1500 watt metal halide and other HID fixtures. The LED engines are rated L70 at 100,000 hours or more, backed by a 10-year warranty.
Key takeaways
- Keeping the pole grid removed the biggest cost and the permitting step.
- Stainless yokes and a surge protector on every pole updated the hardware.
- The courts were back in use within days.
