La Quinta Resort and Club lit its tennis and pickleball courts with a single desert-rated ProCourt fixture, according to Duvon.
Results
The challenge
The resort runs courts late into the desert evening, where heat and UV stress ordinary fixtures. It also wanted one replacement part and one look across every court.
The solution
Duvon specified 400 W ProCourt heads with drivers rated to 176 F and a lens material that resists UV yellowing under long sun exposure. Tennis and pickleball surfaces were modelled separately, shielding was finished in matte bronze to match the poles, and each court can be controlled on its own through the resort's facility management system.
The outcome
Duvon reports 50 fc on the tennis courts and 45 fc on the pickleball courts, at 1.3:1 and 1.2:1 uniformity, with glare that disappears outside the playing area. It puts the saving at up to 59 percent.
About the ProCourt fixture
ProCourt is Duvon's 300 and 400 watt court lighting family for tennis, pickleball and multi-court projects. A single fixture produces up to 54,495 lumens. Housings are IP65 rated, with full cut-off, asymmetric optics.
Key takeaways
- Heat and UV exposure shaped the driver and lens choice.
- A single fixture type means one spare part and one optical signature.
- Per-court control comes through the resort's existing system.
