Forked Lightning Racquet Club in Santa Fe retrofitted six courts with ProCourt LEDs for league play, restoring instant-on light and even coverage, per Duvon.
Results
The challenge
The club runs back-to-back league play well into the evening. Its older fixtures restarted slowly, had lost output over the years and left uneven light near the back fence, which made the ball hard to track.
The solution
Duvon specified ProCourt luminaires at 5000K with tightly controlled cut-off optics, six on each court, mounted on the existing structural poles and sized for the doubles-line area plus a 5 ft run-out band. The optics were rotated 7 degrees toward the centre service line, a refinement found over nine iterations of the photometric model.
The outcome
Duvon reports 50 fc average maintained light at 1.4:1 uniformity, light on in under a second, and glare below GR 50 at the main sightlines. The club added two evening hours per court without a rise in energy spend, and Duvon puts the saving at up to 58 percent.
About the ProCourt fixture
ProCourt is Duvon's 300 and 400 watt court lighting family for tennis, pickleball and multi-court projects. A single fixture produces up to 54,495 lumens. Housings are IP65 rated, with full cut-off, asymmetric optics.
Key takeaways
- League-heavy clubs gain most from instant-on lighting and consistent coverage.
- A 7 degree optic rotation was found by testing nine variants in the model.
- Longer evening hours came without higher energy spend.
