The Club at Livermore lit its academy courts for on-court video review, with high vertical light and flicker-free output, according to Duvon.

The challenge
The club's academy reviews strokes on video and uses AI ball tracking, so the lighting had to meet two needs: high vertical light for the cameras, and consistent uniformity for tracking at speed.
The solution
Duvon specified 400 W ProCourt luminaires at 70 CRI, with a flicker index checked against the academy's high-frame-rate cameras. Vertical light at the net was modelled at about 70 fc, above the roughly 50 fc that analysis software is said to want for clean tracking.
The outcome
According to Duvon, commissioning showed no visible flicker through the camera rig, with 1.2:1 uniformity across the doubles area and about 60 percent less operating energy than the old fixtures.
About the ProCourt fixture
ProCourt is Duvon's 300 and 400 watt court lighting family for tennis, pickleball and multi-court projects. A single fixture produces up to 54,495 lumens. Color temperature is 4000K or 5000K, with 70 CRI standard and 80 or 90 optional.
Key takeaways
- Video analysis makes vertical light and flicker as important as horizontal light.
- Flicker was tested against the actual cameras in use.
- Tracking software, not just players, set the lighting targets.
