Cerrito Vista public courts got glare-controlled ProCourt lighting, with spill under 0.06 fc at every property line, according to Duvon.
Results
The challenge
This public park facility has homes beside it and an observatory nearby. The courts needed modern visibility without raising sky glow or creating glare visible from the hillside above.
The solution
Duvon fitted 400 W ProCourt heads to the poles already in place, shielding the uphill row on the house side and leaving the downhill row with its full asymmetric throw. Perimeter spill was modelled before specification and then confirmed on site.
The outcome
Duvon reports readings under 0.06 fc at every property line, with 45 fc average light and 1.3:1 uniformity serving leagues, lessons and walk-up play, and a saving of up to 60 percent.
About the ProCourt fixture
ProCourt is Duvon's 300 and 400 watt court lighting family for tennis, pickleball and multi-court projects. A single fixture produces up to 54,495 lumens. Housings are IP65 rated, with full cut-off, asymmetric optics.
Key takeaways
- An observatory and homes both set limits on spill and sky glow.
- The upslope and downslope rows used different optics.
- Modelling spill first, then confirming it, kept the design honest.
