Belvedere Tennis Club got competition-level court lighting with spill held below 0.05 fc at the downhill fence, according to Duvon.
Results
The challenge
Belvedere is a hillside community with strict rules on outdoor lighting, and the club's existing luminaires had been flagged as a recurring nuisance. The club needed proper playing light without adding spill at the homes below the courts.
The solution
Duvon specified 400 W ProCourt fixtures at 70 CRI, with shielding on the house side and an optical pattern turned to follow the court layout. Crews aimed every pole with a tablet inclinometer against the project's photometric file, so the finished lighting matched the model.
The outcome
Duvon reports 50 fc average maintained light at 1.3:1 uniformity and spill below 0.05 fc at the downhill perimeter fence. The club regained dependable evening play and avoided a planning dispute. Duvon puts the energy saving at up to 61 percent against HID.
About the ProCourt fixture
ProCourt is Duvon's 300 and 400 watt court lighting family for tennis, pickleball and multi-court projects. A single fixture produces up to 54,495 lumens. Color temperature is 4000K or 5000K, with 70 CRI standard and 80 or 90 optional.
Key takeaways
- On a regulated hillside site, the spill limit drove the whole design.
- Aiming each pole against the photometric file checked the installed result against the model.
- The club avoided a planning dispute by fixing the nuisance, not just upgrading the light.
