Sprinturf supplied more than 1 million square feet of synthetic turf for four new baseball fields and five multipurpose fields at the Hoover Met Complex in Hoover, Alabama, according to Sprinturf.
Results
The challenge
In early 2019 the complex expanded with four baseball fields and five multipurpose fields for soccer, football and lacrosse. The project needed a large-scale turf solution for several sports, surfaces for both recreational and competitive play, coordination with the excavation and landscaping teams, and durability for years of heavy use.
The solution
Sprinturf worked with the construction partners to design and install fields tailored to the complex: multi-sport surfaces for baseball, soccer, football and lacrosse, durable turf for consistent play, and drainage for all-weather use.
The outcome
The complex now offers fields used for tournaments, training and recreational play, built for minimal maintenance. Sprinturf describes it as one of the largest artificial turf installations in the United States.
