How to choose between Shinetoo products

Shinetoo's range splits by where the light is mounted and how far it has to reach.

  • Court lighting (G1 series): asymmetric, full cut-off fixtures for tennis and pickleball. The G1-S1 is offered at 100, 150 and 200 W, the G1-S2 at 300 or 400 W for courts needing more output, and the G1-S3 at 500, 600 and 800 W for more light or longer throws.
  • Field and stadium lighting: the G4 (300 to 600 W) offers 25, 45 and 60 degree beams for baseball, softball, football and golf fields. The G2 (800 to 1200 W) has a compact housing that can replace metal halide or HPS fixtures on existing poles, and the G5 is the highest-output option, with narrow 15 or 25 degree beams for long throws.
  • Indoor sports lighting: the Gen 1 and Gen 2 UFO high bays run from 100 to 200 W with 90 or 120 degree beams, and the linear high bay covers 70 to 400 W with asymmetric or 120 degree beams.

Before choosing, settle the sport and level of play, the mounting height and throw distance, the beam angle you need, whether you are re-using existing poles and arms, and the certifications your utility or rebate program requires. Warranty depends on the model and option chosen, so confirm it on the product page and when you request a quote.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the G1, G2, G4 and G5?

G1 is the court series for tennis and pickleball. G4 is a 300 to 600 W field light with 25, 45 and 60 degree beams. G2 is an 800 to 1200 W stadium light with a compact housing, and G5 is the highest-output stadium light with 15 or 25 degree beams for long throw distances. Open each product page for its full specifications.

Which court light should I choose for tennis or pickleball?

The G1-S1 (100 to 200 W) suits smaller or community courts. The G1-S2 (300 or 400 W) gives more output, and the G1-S3 (500 to 800 W) is the highest-output G1 for competition courts or longer throws. All three are full cut-off, indirect asymmetric designs.

Which fixtures are for indoor courts and gyms?

Shinetoo lists the Gen 1 and Gen 2 UFO high bays and the linear high bay for indoor soccer, tennis, basketball and pickleball courts and gyms. The UFO high bays are 100 to 200 W with 90 or 120 degree beams, and the linear high bay runs from 70 to 400 W.

Can these lights replace existing metal halide fixtures on existing poles?

Shinetoo says the G2 has a compact housing that can replace metal halide or HPS fixtures on existing poles, wiring and arms, and that the G4 can replace HID, metal halide and HPS fixtures on existing poles. Check pole loading and aiming for your site before you decide.

What warranty do Shinetoo lights have?

It depends on the model and option chosen. Shinetoo lists 5 years for its indoor high bays, and longer terms on some court and stadium models. Confirm the warranty on the product page and when you request a quote.
