NFL defensive end Maxx Crosby built a custom backyard half-court on VersaCourt's Game Outdoor tile, in Raiders colors with his own logo, VersaCourt says.
The challenge
Maxx Crosby plays defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders and is also a keen basketball player. He wanted a backyard court that fit the odd shape of the space he had and that was done properly, with a professional finish.
The solution
VersaCourt designed a half-court to suit the space and used its Game Outdoor tile, which it describes as strong and durable, with some vertical give to ease the load on players' joints and good traction. The court was finished in the Raiders' team colors with Crosby's personal logo, and VersaCourt hand-painted the lines and artwork.
The outcome
Crosby says the finished court checked every box. VersaCourt notes its courts can be installed by the owner or through its network of authorized dealers, who can also help with design, ordering and site preparation.
About the Game Outdoor tile
The VersaCourt Game Outdoor tile is a 3/4 inch interlocking court tile for outdoor basketball, tennis and multi-sport courts. Each tile locks to its neighbors on all sides at six points, it comes in 17 standard colors, and VersaCourt backs it with a lifetime warranty.
Key takeaways
- The court layout was fitted to the space rather than the other way around.
- Custom colors, a logo and hand-painted artwork made it personal.
- Owners can install the tiles themselves or use a dealer.
Project details
In their words
I want the best of the best of whatever I do. If I want something, I want it done right. Having it 100% professional and done the right way. I feel like it checked every box. I'm first about it.
