Ultra Base Systems has introduced the Champion E-Series, a new turf base panel developed to combine strong performance with improved environmental responsibility. The panel is produced using 100% recycled materials, offering a more sustainable option while maintaining the same engineering standards as the company’s original Champion panel—at a more competitive price point.
The Champion E-Series retains the core features that made the original system popular in turf construction, including its durable structural design, efficient drainage, and envelope-style interlocking mechanism. According to the company, the goal of the new panel is to give contractors and facility developers an environmentally conscious base solution without compromising reliability or durability.
Each panel measures 28 by 28 inches and 0.75 inches thick, allowing installers to follow the same installation process used with the original Champion system. The modular design can also simplify installation over existing surfaces, which may reduce the need for extensive site preparation such as excavation or concrete base construction.
Ultra Base Systems notes that the Champion E-Series is designed for projects of up to 40,000 square feet. Potential applications include artificial turf sports fields, golf putting greens, driving range tee lines, pet areas, and rooftop turf installations. For larger installations, the company recommends working with its engineering team to determine the most suitable base system for the project.
The Champion E-Series panels are now available through Ultra Base Systems’ distributor and contractor network across the United States.
